Support work with a plan behind it.

We are always interested in experienced disability support workers across the Adelaide Metropolitan Area. Set days, the same participants each week, and a plan you are working towards rather than hours you are filling.

Why here

Most support work is organised around the roster. Ours is organised around the participant.

That sounds like a slogan until you look at how the week is built. Fixed days, consistent workers, and goals written down before anyone turns up. It is a better job because it is a better service.

Set days and times

Your roster is always locked in ahead of time. No Thursday night phone call asking you to cover an eight hour shift on Friday. You know your week, and so do the people you support.

The same people each week

You are not sent wherever there is a hole. You work with the same participants, so you learn what works for them and you get to see development over months rather than over a shift.

A plan behind the shift

Every participant has goals that are written down before support starts, and headings we report against regularly. You will know what you are building and why, not just where to be at nine.

Experience is valued

We hire for experience, judgement and heart. If you know how to deliver exceptional support and bring confidence and consistency to the people around you, we want to hear from you. When you join us, you will have a team that genuinely has your back.

The work itself

One to one, out in the world, working on something.

Cooking a meal in the kitchen. Catching the bus. The gym, the shops, a community court, volunteering, all of it working towards their goal.

Every day is different and we record it honestly to maintain consistent support. Great support should lead somewhere, and we measure the progress along the way.

What we look for

  • Experience in disability support, and honesty about which parts you are good at
  • Genuine availability on set days, because our rosters are fixed rather than fluid
  • Comfortable supporting participants one to one and in small groups
  • You write an objective progress note that clearly meets NDIS standards
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, first aid and a driver licence

Probably not a fit if

  • You want casual shifts across two or three providers and whatever fits that week
  • You would rather be told exactly what to do than work out what a participant needs
  • You want to babysit with minimal engagement

We would rather be straight about this up front than waste your time in an interview.
