EmpwrU Support Services

How it works

From the first chat to a routine that holds.

No hard sell, no maze of forms before anyone has met. Just a clear path from hello to support that turns up when it says it will.

01

An initial conversation

It usually starts with a phone call or enquiry. We take the time to understand the participant, their interests, current support, goals and what they, their family and support network hope to achieve.

02

Meet and greet

We meet in person so everyone can get to know each other. It is an opportunity to build an initial connection, discuss expectations, and make sure EmpwrU is the right fit before support begins.

03

A few shifts to find the groove

Support begins with activities the participant genuinely enjoys. We start with a few shifts focused on building trust, understanding communication styles, and establishing a strong relationship, because meaningful progress starts with genuine rapport.

04

Goals, planning and paperwork

We align support with the participant’s NDIS goals, complete the service agreement and onboarding, and develop a clear plan for how support will be best delivered.

05

A routine you can count on

Participants receive support on consistent days and times with the same mentors each week. Every shift is planned around building capacity, developing life skills and working towards meaningful outcomes.

06

Progress, written down

Regular progress reports document achievements, emerging skills, ongoing goals and recommendations. Participants, families and support coordinators stay informed and can clearly see the progress being made.

The progress report

Proof, not a hunch.

The report is the part that keeps everyone honest. We set it out clearly for each participant, regularly and without being chased: here are the goals, here are the key areas of life we have been working on, here is what is going well, here are the challenges, and here is what we are focusing on next.

It covers the areas that matter most, things like personal development, community confidence, getting around, and work. Everyone in the tribe reads the same page.
